About Me
I am male, 26 years old, and overweight. My name is Jonathan. I started MyMoneyBlog a few months ago to help me manage my finances as I am only a year or so out of college, and it was a pretty good success. I am well on my way to my financial goals there, and now I feel that I need balance in my life.
I was never the skinny kid when I was little, I was more like the slightly chubby kid up until high school. Then, mainly because all my friends were doing it, I started swimming and playing tennis, eventually making to the varsity teams. Let me tell you, swimming for two hours consecutively every day, and then playing tennis for 2 more on most days, will put you into shape. As a benchmark, I was 6′ tall and 155 lbs as a senior.
Now? I’m a 6′2′’ 213 lb. white-collar worker, who spends most of his time on his butt and in front of a glowing screen. I do get out occasionally to meet with clients, but then I tend to eat out for lunch at Applebee’s or something. Ugh. I occassionally go for a jog or a bike ride, and every few months I hit the pool for half an hour, only to spend the next 3 days limping and sore.
I figure, if I spend as much time on my real health as my financial health, I’ll be good. And so this blog was born.
