Eating Slower With Friends
Another diet tip I’ve read about is to eat slower. Eating slower means you’ll feel full while you’ll have eaten less food since it takes a while for your food to hit your stomach and your brain to sense fullness. I am guilty of this for sure. I eat fast, and am often bloated when done, since when I feel full I’ve already eaten too much and half my meal is still in my esophagus.
The way many books say to counter this is to eat with friends. Since you’ll be presumably talking with your buddies, you’ll eat slower, and thus less. The problem is, eating out with friends means… eating OUT. Which means restaurant food, which means fattier and greasier food.
I guess there are two ways to do this: Choose the healthiest thing in the menu, or invite your friends to eat your cooking. I like the second one better, because I hate going out and ordering the one meal on the menu that tastes like cardboard. I guess this means I need to work on my cooking…
Besides eating with friends, I need to eat less in front of the TV and mindlessly stuffing my face. And of course, drink more water. Any other tips for eating slower?
Excercise Today:
20 minutes jogging at gym, stopped early ’cause I was sore.

I think just being conscious of your eating makes you slow down. I try to put my cutlery down between each mouthful instead of refilling it while I’m still chewing.
